LIFE COACHING FOR UNCONVENTIONAL PEOPLE

When other people’s rules aren’t working for you, make your own.

LIFE COACHING

Life coaching has gotten a bad wrap due to snake oil salesmen and pyramid schemes. For years I struggled to even use the term. But the truth of the matter is, COACHING WORKS. Meeting regularly with a thoughtful, empathetic, and creative coach can help you shift your perspective, hold yourself accountable, and keep you on your chosen path. As a CTI-trained coach, you can rest assured that I have professional training under my belt to support you through this process.

UNCONVENTIONAL PEOPLE

My passion is working with people whose journey lies off the beaten path: Science Illustrators, Nomadic Truck Campers, Queer Poets, Wood-fired Potters, Aspiring Van Dwellers, Environmentalist Photographers, Tiny House Builders, Anti-Capitalist Jewelry Makers, PCT-Hikers, Zine Publishers, Hobo Sign Painters, Regenerative Organic Farmers… You get the idea. As an art school dropout, aging punk, and neurodivergent nerd, I am a certified weirdo and I love coaching other folks that identify as such.

If your goal is to work in finance, drive a Lamborghini, and live in a mansion—I’m probably not the coach for you.

But if you dream of living in a cabin, spending more time outdoors, and making things for a living—hit me up!

FAQs

  • I like to think of it like a Venn diagram. In some ways they are similar and other ways very different. Childhood trauma may be one of the things affecting your ability to reach your goals, so a coach might help you name that in a session, but they will not be unpacking it and dissecting in the way a therapist would. In the same way, while you might talk about your dream life in a therapy session, you probably won’t break it down into actionable steps in the way that you would working with a coach. If you’re navigating a really big change or having an extra hard time, I recommend working with both at the same time!

  • If you’re new to working with me, meeting weekly is a good way to build trust and momentum together. Weekly meetings can also be helpful when tackling a big project that needs to build some inertia. Once you’re moving confidently in the direction of your goals, it is common to shift to monthly or even quarterly check-ins. I also like to offer bi-weekly sessions for folks who are experiencing financial hardship, as that can lessen the impact on their monthly budget.

  • It depends! Some folks just need a little boost to align their trajectory, which can happen in just a month or two. Other clients may have multiple onion layers to peel back and sort through, which can take a little longer. It’s common to come to coaching with one obstacle and be so impressed with the results that you decide to tackle something else afterward. In general, I would say 6-9 months is kinda the sweet spot. I recommend starting with the 6-session package to start strong (and save some money)!

  • My current rate is $125/session or $600 for a 6-session package.

  • I have a limited number of discounted rates available for Trans and BIPOC clients. If you are interested in this option, please send me an email ahead of scheduling so I can confirm availability.

I also like to be flexible with scheduling to accommodate varying financial circumstances. If meeting bi-weekly feels more accessible, that is totally an option.

In the future I intend to offer more group co-horts and online courses to make my services even more available to any and all who are interested.

  • If you’ve made it this far, you are.

“I don’t think I ever could have predicted how impactful these coaching sessions would be—if anyone is at all even considering wanting to meet with with a life coach, I wholeheartedly encourage you to connect with Stoked Coaching.”
